From the dressing room to the pitch, we caught up with attacking midfielder Malik Tillman. Recently crowned champion of the Netherlands with PSV, Malik has won the title with style in back to back seasons. Representing the United States national team, Malik hopes to add more trophies to his cabinet, especially with the journey to the next World Cup, hosted in North America.

On the field, Malik is known for his physical flair, attacking prowess and powerful shot. From the Bayern academy to PSV, the future is bright for the young American talent. “I like to listen to Afro Beats, American rap, UK rap - also because of my time here in the Netherlands I like Dutch music… I mean I play in one team with Noa Lang.”

ROAD TO THE USA

Born and raised in Germany, but playing for the US team, Tillman’s journey has been a rapid rise. He also has an older brother, Timothy, who currently plays professionally with Major League Soccer club Los Angeles FC. Next year is a big moment for the United States national team, playing on home soil on the big international stage. This is what Malik had to say on the journey to the World Cup.
